Lvlon is a machinery manufacturer in Henan, China, building the 2TPH olive pomace pellet plant for large olive oil mills and biomass fuel plants across the Mediterranean olive belt and beyond. As the factory, we supply wholesalers, bulk buyers, distributors and agents directly-no middle layer. In-house fabrication of every stage. One supplier, one warranty. OEM/ODM on die size and configuration, with your brand or specification. Spare parts stocked and air-freighted in 5–15 days.
Why a Dryer at 2 Tonnes Per Hour
The 1.5TPH olive pomace line runs without a dryer-it works when the pomace arrives at a stable 12% moisture. At 2 tonnes per hour, the feedstock comes from more sources, more batches, more storage conditions. Moisture drifts: 12% one day, 18% the next. The GX1500 dryer-1.5 meters diameter, 12 meters long, 7.5 kW drive, 18.5 kW induced-draft fan-locks the moisture into the 12–16% forming window. Too wet, pellets crack. Too dry, the die resists. The dryer is the throughput insurance at scale.
Dual Mill: Redundancy That Pays in Uptime
| Stage | Equipment | Key spec | Power | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Drying | GX1500 drum dryer | Ø1.5m×12m | 7.5+18.5+1.1 kW | 2–2.2 t/h |
| Pelletizing | MZLH420 ring die mill ×2 | die Ø420mm, 2 rollers Ø165mm | 132×2 kW | 1 t/h each |
| Cooling | SKLN1.5 counterflow cooler | 1.5 m³ | 0.75+1.1 kW | 3 t/h, 6–10 min |
| Packing | WDCS-50 packer | PLC control | 2.2 kW | 3–4 bags/min, 5–50 kg |
A single large mill-like the MZLH508 at 1.5 t/h-stops the line when it needs a die change or roller service. The dual MZLH420 layout means one mill runs while the other is serviced. The line drops from 2 t/h to 1 t/h instead of to zero. Over 300 working days, the hours saved by parallel redundancy add up to a production number that matters.
Each mill carries four layers of automation. Frequency-controlled feed: the feed motor adjusts speed to match pomace density, batch to batch. Overload protection: the mill stops automatically when too much material enters. External discharge: abnormal material-metal fragments, large pit pieces-is ejected instead of passing through the die. Pressurized lubrication: critical bearings are oiled automatically, reducing manual maintenance.
The pomace passes through a screw conditioner before the mills-even distribution of moisture and pit fragments across the feed, so no single die opening gets a concentration of hard pits that would wear the opening unevenly.
FAQ
Q: Why does the 2 t/h line have a dryer and the 1.5 t/h line does not?
The 1.5 t/h line works with pomace at a stable 12% moisture-straight to the mill. At 2 t/h, feedstock comes from more batches at variable moisture (12–20%). The GX1500 dryer locks it into the 12–16% window so pellet quality holds across batches. The dryer is a scale requirement, not a machine difference.
Q: Why two MZLH420 mills instead of one larger mill?
Parallel redundancy. One mill at 1 t/h, two at 2 t/h. When one mill needs a die change or roller service-which happens every few months on a 300-day production schedule-the other mill keeps running. The line drops to 1 t/h instead of zero. A single large mill means a full stop for every service.
Q: 1.5 t/h or 2 t/h olive pomace line?
Small volume, stable pomace moisture at 12%: 1.5 t/h line-three stages, no dryer, single MZLH508, lower investment. Large volume, variable moisture: 2 t/h line-four stages, dryer included, dual mills, higher capacity with redundancy. The decision is: how many tonnes per day, and how consistent is the pomace?
