Lvlon is a machinery manufacturer in Henan, China, producing the wood stump grinder for particleboard and fiberboard plants, biomass fuel producers, forestry waste processors and land clearing contractors across Asia, Africa and Latin America. As the factory, we supply wholesalers, bulk buyers, distributors and agents directly-no middle layer. In-house steel fabrication, rotor assembly and knife manufacturing. OEM/ODM on configuration, with your brand or specification. Spare parts stocked and air-freighted in 5–15 days.
The Machine Built for the Impossible Feed
Stumps and root balls are the worst material in wood processing: irregular shape, soil and stones embedded, tangled fiber. Most machines refuse them; this one is designed around them.
The numbers define the class. Feed opening: 3,600 millimeters-a root system with the stump still attached goes in whole, loaded by loader or conveyor. Capacity: 25–30 tonnes per hour-industrial preparation duty, not a farm machine. Power: 185 kW or 350 HP, electric or diesel. Weight: 18 tonnes of heavy-industrial construction. This is the pre-processing stage for particleboard and fiberboard plants, sized so the grinding line never becomes the bottleneck.
Crush, Slice, Tear: One Rotor, Three Actions
Inside the chamber, the feed meets a high-speed rotor 850 millimeters in diameter. The knives fixed to the rotor crush, slice and tear roots into chips-three mechanical actions in one pass, because no single action handles a root ball. The rotor is dynamically balanced: vibration stays low through uneven feed, and the machine runs steady at full load instead of shaking itself apart.
The knives are alloy steel-hard enough to hold an edge against soil-caked roots and small stones that come with them. The hopper is 18-millimeter manganese steel, the heavy-duty wear steel that takes impacts without deformation. Rotor, knives, hopper: the three wear zones are all built for the abusive material this machine exists to process.
Hydraulic Feed: Speed That Follows the Load
Roots do not feed uniformly. The hydraulic motor drives the feed with adjustable speed and anti-jam protection: heavy load slows the feed, light load speeds it up, and the system protects against jams before they happen. This is the basis of the fully automatic operation-the operator supervises, the hydraulics manage the material. Emergency stop, hydraulic overload protection and a no-contact hopper design cover the safety side.
Mobile by Design
Stumps sit where the trees fell-remote forests, clearing sites, city forestry projects. The machine is trailer-mounted: dual axles, traction frame, steering tires-towed by truck or tractor to the job site. The diesel version needs no permanent foundation, no grid power: arrive, set up, grind, move on. The electric version mounts permanently in plants with stable power. Either way, the 12-meter out-feed conveyor stacks chips away from the machine as it works.
FAQ
Q: What materials can it process?
Large tree roots, stumps, knots, bamboo, pine, fir, poplar and mixed woods-softwood, hardwood, dry or wet roots, with small amounts of soil and stones allowed. Wet material runs best at 20–50% moisture content.
Q: What is the maximum feed size?
360 centimeters across. Whole root balls with the stump attached feed by loader or conveyor-no pre-cutting.
Q: Is it mobile?
Yes-dual axles, traction frame and steering tires; towed by truck or tractor. The diesel version needs no foundation and runs anywhere. The electric version is for plants with stable power and a permanent base.
Q: How is the feed controlled?
Hydraulic motor drive with adjustable speed and anti-jam protection-feed follows load automatically. Emergency stop, hydraulic overload protection and a no-contact hopper design cover safety.
