Lvlon is a machinery manufacturer in Henan, China, building the 3TPH giant king grass pellet production line for biomass power plants, industrial heating operators, large farms and commercial pellet producers across Asia, Africa and Latin America. As the factory, we supply wholesalers, bulk buyers, distributors and agents directly-no middle layer. In-house fabrication of every stage. One supplier, one warranty. OEM/ODM on die size and configuration, with your brand or specification. Spare parts stocked and air-freighted in 5–15 days.
The Crop That Needs Its Own Line
Giant king grass grows 3–5 meters tall and arrives as a standing crop-not as sawdust, not as shell, not as waste. Every other pellet line starts with material that is already small. This line starts with a chipper. The XP800 disc chipper-30 kW, four flying knives on an 800-millimeter disc, feed up to 200 millimeters diameter-cuts the whole plant into 20–40 millimeter slices before anything else can touch it.
That is stage one of six: chipping, drying, crushing, pelletizing, cooling, packing. The most complete configuration in the pellet plant range, because the feedstock demands it.
The Six Stages
| Stage | Equipment | Key spec | Power | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chipping | XP800 disc chipper | 4 knives, Ø800mm disc | 30 kW | 3–6 t/h, 20–40mm slices |
| Drying | GX2000 drum dryer | Ø2m×18m | 22+37+1.5 kW | 3–4 t/h |
| Crushing | ZW80B water-drop hammer mill | 128 hammers, 87 m/s, double-hit | 90/110 kW | 2.5–3.5 t/h |
| Pelletizing | MZLH508 ring die mill ×2 | stainless die Ø508mm | 90×2 kW | 1.5 t/h each, 6/8/10 mm |
| Cooling | SKLN1.5 counterflow cooler | 1.5 m³ | 0.75+1.1 kW | 3 t/h, 6–10 min |
| Packing | WDCS-50 packer | hopperless, digital weighing | 2.2 kW | 3–4 bags/min, 5–50 kg |
The GX2000 dryer handles the moisture load of freshly cut grass-harvest moisture runs above 50%-with a 2-meter by 18-meter drum and a 37 kW fan. The ZW80B hammer mill is the fiber answer: 128 hammers at 87 m/s tip speed, in a water-drop chamber, with double-hit technology that cycles the material twice for 40% higher efficiency than single-hit grinding. Grass fiber needs that second pass.
Stainless Dies, Dual Mills
The two MZLH508 pellet mills run in parallel at 1.5 tonnes per hour each. The dies are stainless steel-resistant to the corrosion and wear of grass fiber-so pellets come out clean and the die life extends. Variable-frequency feeders meter the powder evenly against the mill load. One mill can be serviced while the other produces: the line holds 1.5 t/h instead of stopping.
The pellet output is the product that matters: about 18.4 MJ per kilogram. At 3 tonnes per hour, that is the fuel supply for a biomass power plant or industrial boiler network-the pellet that replaces coal.
FAQ
Q: Why does this line have a chipping stage?
Giant king grass is a standing crop 3–5 meters tall. It must be cut to 20–40 millimeter pieces before drying and crushing. No other feedstock in the pellet range arrives as a whole plant-the chipper is the stage that makes the rest of the line possible.
Q: What is double-hit crushing?
The material passes two crushing cycles in the same chamber-first break, then refine. Grass fiber needs the second pass; single-hit mills leave it too coarse for pelletizing. Double-hit technology is about 40% more efficient for fibrous feed.
Q: What is the pellet energy value?
About 18.4 MJ per kilogram-the density that replaces coal in power generation and industrial boilers. At 3 t/h, the line supplies 24 tonnes of pellets per day.
