Air Blows the Light Trash. Screens Catch the Rest.
Grain drops from the feed hopper through an air channel. A centrifugal fan pushes air upward through the falling seed column. Straw, chaff and dust-anything lighter than the grain-lift into a settling chamber. Seed, heavier than the airstream can carry, drops onto the top screen deck.
Two vibration motors mounted on opposite sides of the screen box counter-rotate. Eccentric weights cancel lateral forces and sum vertical forces, producing a linear throw at 45–60 degrees. Seed bounces forward across the screens.
Three decks, each with a different aperture. The top deck catches oversize-stones, soil clods, stalk segments. Clean seed passes through to the middle deck. The bottom deck has holes slightly smaller than the smallest acceptable grain-broken kernels, shriveled seed and sand drop through. Clean seed exits from the middle outlet. The separation is mechanical. No operator sorting. No hand-picking.
The fan damper adjusts per crop. Wheat needs roughly 8–10 meters per second of air velocity-heavier grain tolerates a stronger draft. Rice is lighter at 6–8 meters per second. Sesame is lightest at 4–6 meters per second. Set the damper too wide and good seed blows into the waste chamber. Set it too narrow and chaff stays in the product. The operator tests a handful of each new crop and marks the damper position.
Screen changes take 10–15 minutes. Loosen the retaining bar bolts. Slide the old mesh out. Slide the new mesh in. Tighten. A seed company running wheat in the morning and soybean in the afternoon keeps two mesh sets and swaps between them as needed.

Why Clean Before You Store or Process
A rice mill's rubber roller pair processes 100–150 tonnes of paddy before replacement. Feed that paddy through a cleaner first. The stones that would have gouged the rubber and halved its working life never reach the mill. The savings on rollers alone covers the cleaner within a season.
A grain trader delivering to a commercial silo gets docked on price for every percentage point of foreign material above the contract limit. Five tonnes of corn at a 3% dock loses roughly the value of 150 kilograms. Over a hundred truckloads in a harvest season, the docked value buys several cleaning machines. The trader who cleans before delivery keeps the full contract price.
A seed company selling bagged soybean seed with 5% broken kernels and shriveled grain mixed in gets returns and complaints. The buyer opens the bag, sees the inconsistency, and calls the supplier. The company that ships uniformly clean, graded seed at 98% purity or higher builds a reputation that commands a price premium. The cleaner is the first machine on the processing line for a reason-everything downstream depends on what the cleaner removes.

FAQ
Q: Does the 98% cleaning rate hold in practice?
Under standard conditions-wheat at ≤14% moisture and ≤5% trash content-the machine delivers ≥98% in one pass. Higher trash or moisture reduces the rate. If the first pass does not meet the target, run the grain through twice. First pass for rough scalping. Second pass for finish cleaning.
Q: Can this machine clean seed to commercial seed-grade standards?
Yes, with the right setup. Use a finer woven mesh for the middle and bottom decks. Reduce the screen deck angle so the material spends more time on the screens. Slow the feed rate. The combination of finer mesh, steeper dwell time and lower throughput produces seed-grade output. Small-seeded crops grade better than large-seeded crops at the same settings.
Q: How long does it take to change screens between crops?
Ten to fifteen minutes for all three decks. Each mesh slides out after loosening the retaining bar bolts. Label each set by crop and mark which deck it fits. A seed house switching between wheat and soybean several times per shift keeps two sets ready and swaps in under 15 minutes.
